NIAGARA FALLS, NY - Results from a special investigation into alleged mismanagement at the SPCA of Niagara have been released.

That is why the staffers and supporters of the Niagara Falls Air base are closely following these new developments.

They are already working out a strategy to make sure the base does not end up on the closing list again.  Merrell Lane of the Niagara Military Affairs Council (NIMAC) says he intends to carefully review through the Pentagon's report and look for any potential impact on one of the area's largest employers with 3,500 on the payroll.

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y.-Friday was a night Wiliamsville East wrestling coach Bert Ernst will never forget. In front of a packed gym at East the Flames coach was  honored for  his stellar coaching career and  for his victory over cancer. 

It was the first annual "Takedown for Cancer"
...more night when the Flames hosted the Williamsville South Billies. Both teams wore pink shirts, socks and shoelaces. Proceeds were donated to the University at Buffalo's Jeff Parker Foundation and Carly's Club, both named after young people's lives cut short by cancer. Flames coach Paul Horton told Two On Your Side "We are trying to start a tradition here so the sport of wrestling can give back to the community."  

Ernst wrestled at Williamsville South and at the University at Buffalo. In his 43 year coaching career he has nearly 300 victories. Ernst was given a lengthy standing ovation and you could see the emotion in his eyes when three members of the Flames current team presented him a

KENMORE, N.Y-Four players scored in double figures for St. Joe's Friday night as the Marauders beat Canisius 78-72.

...more trouble. St. Joe's head coach Mark Simon told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar "I liked everything about the way we played. We played hard, we played with confidence and to have the other guys step up when Reggie was out made a big difference."  St. Joe's led 30-27 at halftime.

The Crusaders were led by # 25 Adam Weir who had 22 points. St. Joe's was led by # 30 Louis Oliveri who had 20 points. Jordan Glover # 5 had 13 points while # 3 Jaylen Morris and # 35 Reggie Agbeko each had 12 points for St. Joe's.

The Marauders improve to 15-2 overall and 5-0 in league play. St. Joe's hosts Bishop Timon Monday night.

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Grand Island family had to be rushed to the hospital for symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Grand Island rescue crews received a call just after 2:30am Friday to a home on River Oaks Drive.

When officials arrived, they say a man came to the door
...more who was plainly ill and confused.

Surya and Chandana Yadavilli, 36 and 29, respectively, and their 13-month-old baby were taken out of the home.

Officials say CO levels measured at 300 parts per million, which is considered high.

The family was treated by medics at the scene and then transported to Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.

A spokesperson for the Grand Island fire department told 2 On Your Side the husband had called a friend saying he had a headache; the friend called 911.

Grand Island Fire Chief Kevin Koch points out that as of February, 2010, Amanda's Law mandates carbon monoxide detectors in all homes in New York State. Koch says
